Strengthen That Core

If you have gotten after one of our workouts, you know that we love to crush the core. Why is that you may ask? One, core exercises are a lot of fun and who doesn't want a six pack on the beach right!? But the main reason is that almost everything stems from the core. Having a strong core helps in both sport and everyday life actions and movements.


Think about it! Almost everything you do throughout your day has the core involved. Whether it is playing a sport, picking up your kids, playing with your kids, cleaning your house, working on your house or yard, or heck, even just keeping a good posture. So how do you train the core!? There are all kinds of ways, but we recommend mixing it up. Core Finishers and Ab Attacks are some of our favorites where you just straight up, get after some some ab workouts. But, don't forget about the less "fancier" ways like Barbell Front Squats, Kettlebell Goblet Squats, or unilateral movements like a Single Leg Split Squat.

Again, everything stems from the core, so do not forgot to strengthen it! Here is a quick Core Finisher you can get after at home or at the gym:

On a 5 minute clock, increase the reps by 2 on both movements. If you finish 12, keep going up until the 5 minute mark hits. How far can you go!?


5 MIN CYCLE:

A1.) Sit Up

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12...

A2.) DB Heel Tap Over

2, 4, 6, 8, 10,12...
